Tawasul continues its training program entitled "Strategic Planning and Leadership " which part of capacity building etitled “together. This two days training targeting Civil Society Organizations in cooperation with Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI). 25 participants represting  boards of directors of CSOs in  governorates of Dhofar, Goverante of AL Uraimi, AL Batinah Region and Al Dakhilia such as from Salalah Al Wafa Volunteer Centre and Al Noor Association for the Blind in Salalah and Nizwa, as well as heads of Omani Women Associations from Musana, Suwaiq and Barka, Bid Bid and Sadah.  Additionally from Association for the welfare of Disabled Children  from Saham, Sohar and Omani Disabled Association in Sohar. This capacity building workshop had expanded to widen and strengthen networking and contact between organizations outside the capital to further development progress.

The training was facilitated by  Shabib Mohammed Al Ma'amari, a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Missouri, who held several positions with Ministry of Manpower and Diwan Royal Court, currently working as Executive Director of Injaz.


The workshop consisted of two main subjects aimed at enhancing the skills of participants and open their horizons to develop performance and management responsibilities at different levels, using  Injaz Oman achievement as a model. On the first day, there was an overview of strategic planning and how to plan and draw the institution's mission and objectives in order to determine the organization's programs. Also it showcases opportunities if there are challenges facing the organization and ways to overcome them. Along with several of the other activities including methods of assessment for establishment and developing vision, mission and values of the organization and setting goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).


The second day the of workshop addressed topics such as leadership, management skills and strategic planning and its relevance to the work of civil society organizations alongside with other topics such as board governance and staff management, volunteering, and motivation.
