• What is FURAS?

FURAS or Opportunity is a grant initiative, a part of Tawasul Social Responsibility and Sustainability program.

• What are the objectives of FURAS 1st grant cycle?

1. Making knowledge and training opportunities more accessible to civil society groups in the Sultanate, and youth in particular. 
2. Creating an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) based application, website,  or a social media project that allows for sharing social training opportunities offered as a part of social responsibility and sustainability private and public programs across the Sultanate.

• How much is the grant?
  

1. The winning application design will be granted up to 2000 OMR.

• When will it be awarded?
  

1. Grant will be awarded by the end of the first quarter of 2011. Please visit: www.tawasul.co.om
   

• Who can Apply?
  
  The proposal should be submitted by a team of 3 to 5 members, ideally consisting of:

1. Team leader, 2. ICT student/specialist, 3. Business Development student/specialist.

• Scope of the project:

1. Phase 1: Application Design & Registration, awarded by Tawasul FURAS, announced by the end of 1st quarter of 2011.
2. Phase 2: Application Operation, awarded by private and/or public sector, to be launched by the end of 2nd quarter of 2011.
